Hey everyone I hate to say it but I am going to have to sell my
80'
Spitfire. I am going through a divorce and I have to sell off a
couple
of my cars. The Spitfire I have is in pretty decent shape. I bought
it
to restore it and at the time I didn't care about getting a
title
because I knew it was going to be awhile before it was on the
road.
Needless to say I don't have a title for it. It is white with
black
and tan interior. It comes with two tannu covers and the
convertible
top as well as the factory steel hard top. I have not taken the
hard
top off and tried the convertible top. The battery tray and
two
sections in the front of the foot wells will need to be replaced
due
to rust. The seats are in pretty bad shape. The carpet can be
cleaned
up and used. The brakes and clutch master cylinders will need to
be
rebuilt or replaced. It has 135psi on all cylinders so the engine
is
good. When I bought it it didn't run because the electronic
distributer
was shot and not working. I have converted it over to the
older vacuum
advance style and bought a new sport coil for it. I have
been able to get it
to crank over and fire but only for a short time.
I think the timing is off
but I have no way to be able to check it. I
also have a sport header for it
and just picked up a complete set of
used locks and keys for it. I have
pictures of the car I can send out
or I can take additional pictures of
anything that you wish to see. I
would like to get $1000.00 obo for it. It is
located in Garland, Tx
