1975 Triumph TR6.
I picked this Triumph up in March. It was in a large warehouse
and had been sitting for 10 years. I was thinking of doing a
light restoration and using it as a daily driver. I realized over
the last couple of months that I just don't have the time. Nice
car with the only rust being in the floor pans. It looked like
the top might of leaked at some point due to the rest of the cars good
condition. The car has a fresh battery, oil, plugs, wires, fresh
gas, drained tank, etc. I got the car to start the weekend I
bought it. It seems to me that the fuel pump is bad. This
car would be a project car and would need to be towed away. I'll
be honest and list what I know it needs: tires, water pump, fuel pump, floor pans, brakes bleed, carbs tuned.
This would be a great
driver with a little work. Extra pictures can be seen here. Might be interested in trade for Miata or small 4x4 truck/suv.

I
am selling the cut away TR3 chassis shown at the Nationals in Ft Worth
and Irving. The head, block, and oil pan are cut so that the #1 piston,
connecting rod, crack can be seen working with the cam and pushrods.
The transmission can be "shifted" (manually) to show the gears spin,
and the rear cover on the differential is easily removed to show it
working, also. When the engine is rotated, the entire drive train can
be seen in action. The timing chain cover, fuel pump, oil filter, coil,
1 spark plug, thermostat housing, distributor, 1 rocker arm, 1 carb,
the bell housing, clutch cover, and steering gearbox cover were also
cut open. The back of the block is opened up to show the water jacket
from another view point. The telescoping action on the driveshaft can
be seen as the rear suspension is worked, which has been made easier by
the removal of some leaves in the leaf springs. The front suspension on
one side has had the road spring removed to allow easy deflection at
the front. A brake caliper, slave cylinder, and the clutch slave
cylinder were also cut open, as was a starter solenoid.
The frame had the center section cut out, so I made it look
approximately like a standard frame by welding in angle iron for some
strength, and putting in 2 X 4's to make the siderails look closer to
the correct depth. That part is a hack, but no one ever complained to
me about it. A goof I made was cutting a TR4 shifter housing. The new
owner can do the correct one if they wish.
I hadn't gotten around to cutting open a shock, a generator, a starter
and a few other things, but it got a lot of attention at car shows when
I had a trailer and tow vehicle. It has an overdrive, not cut open,
either. A couple of ways I wanted to go with it were to do each side
differently, like the larger brakes on one side and the smaller brakes
on the other, and to highlight failure points as an aid to other owners.
1 picture shows the "car" in better days, 2 show the current state. It
has been sitting out (under a Spitfire body) for a few years, therefore
it needs restoration.
$600. Can include other TR3 parts if you need some.

1964 Triumph Spitfire MK1
I bought this spitfire last summer, but after haggling with the
previous owner for 6 months to finally get a title I've soured on the
project. The car is complete, but would need a total
restoration. The floorpans are shot and the engine is
froze. The trans shifts and turns as well as the rear end.
I put brand new tires on the car to tow it home and the still have the
sprues on them. I have plenty of pictures for anyone interested
showing the good and bad on the car. I'll take $500 firm for the
car only, and $50 more if you want the title (I do have the title now,
but would need to transfer it which I will happily do). If you
have any questions please give me a call at 817-210-8550 or email me.
