The
goal of this meet is to bring “orphan car”
owners together, and to establish and renew their friendships. This is
a great show put on by the North Texas Hudson-Essex-Terraplane Club.
The show will include orphan cars that you rarely ever see including
Hudson, Studebaker, Kaiser, Frazer, Packard, Nash, Willys, Graham,
Essex, Auburn, Cord, Terraplane, DeSoto and many others. And Triumph
also qualifies, since the "parent" company disappeared more than 25
years ago. The main show is on Saturday, at the Wells
Fargo bank parking lot near the courthouse square (map).
Registration is on Thursday and Friday, with additional events planned
on Friday and Saturday, and awards presentation on Sunday morning. For

Slight change
from the "normal": This month's drive will be a dinner run, starting at
3:30 in Denton and coinciding with the Sweethearts and Orphans show
(details above). We will start at or near Denton Square, site of the Sweethearts and Orphans show (map). We will have a nice drive through the North Texas countryside, then dinner at Moms
on Main in Aubrey, just a few miles NE of Denton (map).

(Note, for this and just about all of our events, you don't need a
Triumph to participate.)
Join us for this month's edition of our monthly driving tours. The goal
is to have a nice, scenic run, at a leisurely pace, and finish up at a

The Texas Region of the Sports Car Club of America
invites you to a fun drive in the country around Dublin, Texas. There
will be some ways to score points, and the winners will receive awards.
Speed is not a factor. Having fun is required!
This is a "GTA", or fun run, type of rally. There are multiple classes
novices won't have to compete with experts. There will even be an
Antique/Classic class if they get 5 or more entries, and 3 cars of the
same make can be entered to compete for the team award.

edition of the ABCDE car show, and will again be at the "new" location
it moved to last year. The biggest British car show in
DFW, it also benefits a worthy charity, Shoes for Orphan Souls. More

British Car Week National Meet |

The
annual British Car Week has been going for the past several years,
designated as a week to "get out and drive your British car". Now there
will be a British Car Week National Meet, sort of like a VTR National
but for all types of British cars and car clubs. Details at the British Car Week
National Meet website. Check their web site often, as new details
are being added frequently.

RRTC members had a great time at the 2011 VTR National
in Breckenride, CO. VTR 2011 was hosted by the Rocky Mountain
